PURPOSE:To reduce generation of scale without making a flame or combustion gas contact with a base material, by stretch-providing a hollow cylinder consisting of a refractory material, on the inside of a furnace body, as a path for the base material for forging. CONSTITUTION:From an end part 7a of a hollow cylinder 7 projected to the outside of a furnace, in the rear end of a furnace body 1, a forging base material is inserted into the hollow cylinder 7, and is pushed in toward the other end of the hollow cylinder in order. The base material is heated by combustion heat of a burner 4 while it is moving from one end of the hollow cylinder 7 to the other end, but since the base material is surrounded by the hollow cylinder 7, it does not contact with a flame nor combustion gas, and is heated indirectly. Also, the base material is wrapped with the hollow cylinder 7, is fed into the furnace from a flue 6 side of a low temperature, and is moved to a high temperature area in order, therefore, it is not heated suddenly. The base material which has been heated is pushed by the following base material, goes out of the hollow cylinder 7, and flows down into a heat resisting pipe 12 so that it can be taken out. |
