POWER ON/OFF DEVICE FOR COPYING DEVICE OR THE LIKE

PURPOSE:To make a queuing time for warming-up unnecessary and facilitate the copying operation by detecting the existence of the light of an indoor fluorescent lamp in a fluorescent lamp detecting circuit and turning on the power automatically in accordance with this detection signal. CONSTITUTION:The output of a photoelectric element 1 which detects the indoor light in a room where a copying device is installed is led to a band filter 3 and a smoothing circuit 4 through an amplifying circuit 2, and power on/off of the copying device is controlled by the output signal of the smoothing circuit 4. Since the band filter 3 is so constituted that only components of the light of a fluorescent lamp included in the output signal of the amplifying circuit 2 are transmitted through the band filter 3, the signal detecting the existence of the light of the fluorescent lamp is outputted simultaneously with lighting of the fluorescent lamp in the room, and power is turned on automatically on a basis of this signal.
