Clamping device for clamping tools

The clamping device is used to clamp tools relative to part of a machine and has a clamping part which can be moved together with a pressing part towards the tool. The clamping part is provided with a securing part which can be moved out of a release position into a holding position. On release of the clamping device, the tool is thereby secured against falling out by the securing part, which is in the holding position. As a result, no latching noses or the like are necessary on the tool and it can thus have flat outer surfaces. As a result, it can be pushed from below into the socket between the clamping device and the part of the machine or withdrawn from it. No free space is therefore required next to the machine and adjacent tools can be exchanged independently of one another in a simple manner.
