<p>PURPOSE:To enable to drive a thermal head for a prolonged period of time, by a method wherein a heating resistor is made from a Cr-Si alloy containing 65- 85% of Si and the balance of Cr, and an electric wiring conductor connected to the layer is provided with a double-layer construction of an Al layer and a Cr layer. CONSTITUTION:A heating resistor layer 2 consisting of a film of the Cr-Si alloy produced by vacuum evaporation or the like is laminated on a high-resistance substrate, for example, a glazed ceramic substrate 1 to constitute a heating resistor 4. Further, an electric wiring conductor 3 for supplying power to the resistor 4 is laminated on the resistor 4. The conductor 3 is a good electrical conductor having the double-layer construction of the Cr layer and the Al layer, and is formed in a pattern by photoetching. Further, a protective layer 5 for the resistor 4 is formed, for example, by using SiO2 or Ta2O5.</p> |
