PURPOSE:To fit a piezoelectric element uniformly and enhance workability, by a method wherein a piezoelectric element is placed on an outside wall corresponding to a pressure chamber, with a thermosetting adhesive sheet placed between the wall and the element, and the element is fitted to a main body of a recording head by heating under pressure. CONSTITUTION:The main body 12 of the recording head is provided with a nozzle, the pressure chamber, an ink chamber, a conduit and the like on a metallic plate or a ceramic plate. The piezoelectric element 14 is placed on the outside wall of the main body 12 at a position corresponding to the pressure chamber, with the thermosetting adhesive sheet 13 placed between the wall and the element 14, and the element 14 is adhered to the main body 12 by heating under pressure. When the piezoelectric element is adhered to the main body of the recording head by using the thermosetting adhesive sheet, the amount of the adhesive is determined by the thickness of the sheet and is constant. Accordingly, the thickness of the adhesive after adhering is also substantially constant, and adhesion can be achieved with little irregularity. In addition, since the adhesive is not liquid, workability is extremely high. |
