PURPOSE:To make changing of welding current possible without changing AC voltage by winding the welding windings and AC windings of a revolving-field salient-pole type AC generator for welding on a stator and providing main magnetic poles and control poles to a rotor. CONSTITUTION:A titled welder having a generator wherein a basic number of poles of windings 2 for AC power source and welding windings 3 times the basic number of poles are provided to the stator 1 of the generator, salient-pole type main magnetic poles 9 equal to the basic number of poles and salient-pole type control poles 10 twice the basic number of poles are provided to a rotor 4 so as to make the control poles 10 between the main magnetic poles equal, main field windings 5 are wound on the poles 9 and control field windings 7 are wound on the poles 10. Even when the current of the windings 7 is changed in order to regulate the welding current, this welder changes the welding current without changing the AC voltage. |
