PURPOSE:The titled composition, prepared by incorporating a specific amount of an aliphatic alkanolamide in a composition for the oral cavity containing a compound having the astringency, and capable of improving the astringency and the feeling of use. CONSTITUTION:A composition for the oral cavity contaning prepared by incorporating an aliphatic alkanolamide, e.g. capric acid monoethanolamide, lauric acid diethanolamide or myristic acid diethanolamide, preferably the fatty acid alkanolamide having 8-18C fatty acid group and 2C or 3C alkanol group, in an amount of 1-3wt% based on the total weight of the composition in a composition for the oral cavity containing a compound having the astringency. Compounds such as a phosphoric ester, phosphonic acid active constituent, e.g. mesoinositol ester of hexanoic acid, gelling silica or aluminum compound may be cited as the compound having the astringency. EFFECT:No astringent taste in gargling and irritation, and improved feeling of use and storage stability. |
