PURPOSE:To prevent the decrease in reduction efficiency of gases by charging raw materials contg. high moisture in the zone of the inside of the furnace where the effect that the moisture in the raw materials gives upon the reduction efficiency of gases is small. CONSTITUTION:If there is a need for charging raw materials of high moisture in blast furnace operation, said materials are charged in the zone where the effect that the moisture of the raw materials gives upon the reduction efficiency of gases is small, that is, the zone where the temp. of the gases is about >=100 deg.C, in accordance with the measured results of the temp. distributions in the radial direction of the blast furnace. Since the moisture in the raw materials evaporates instantaneously in the furnace center region where the materials are exposed to high temp. gases of about >=100 deg.C, the effect that the moisture gives upon the reduction efficiency of the gases is small and the blast furnace operation is stabilized. |
