PURPOSE:To easily and numerously manufacture the captioned oscillator, by adhesively attaching a crystal plate material of the captioned oscillator, used for an electronic watch and the like, to the surface of a cylindrical body, grinding the crystal plate material with a cylindrical grinding wheel, and then cutting said material to prescribed dimensions. CONSTITUTION:Rectangular crystal plates 3 are glued to a peripheral surface 2 of a cylindrical body 1. In the vicinity of the cylindrical body 1, a grinding wheel 4 is arranged, and the cylindrical body 1 and external diameter grinding machine 6 are rotated in the same direction as shown by arrow heads 7 and 8. Chamfering of curvature R is performed to outer sides, that is, both end parts of the crystal plate 3 by the grinding wheel 4. This chamfered crystal plate 10 is cut in a suitable width to obtain a cylindrical crystal oscillator. |
