PURPOSE:To miniaturize the engine and facilitate the manufacturing thereof by a method wherein each cylinder blocks are formed integrally with a casing supporting various kinds of shafts, in the engine, in which two cylinder blocks are arranged in a V-shape by opening them into the bank agnle of 90 deg. substantially from the center of a crank shaft. CONSTITUTION:The V-type internal-combustion engine E is provided with fore and aft cylinder blocks 11, 12 which are arranged into the V-shape by opening them into the bank angle alpha of about 90 deg. from the center of the crank shaft 2. In this case, each cylinder blocks 11, 12 are formed integrally with the casing 5 supporting the crank shaft 2, a speed changing input shaft 6 and a speed changing output shaft 7 to permit the extending arrangement of the casing 5 to the backward of the block 12. The crank shaft 2 and the speed changing input shaft 6 are arranged on a plane C intersecting orthogonally with a straight line B dividing the bank angle alpha into two and the casing 5 is divided into two parts of upper and lower parts by said plane C, while the straight line B is set so as to pass through the range from the bisector D of the bank angle alpha to 20 deg. of the side of the bolck 12. |
