PURPOSE:To enable to enhance reliability of a pump, by fixing an impeller cap to the main shaft of the pump by use of a split ring. CONSTITUTION:After an impeller cap 4 is mounted on a main shaft 6 of a pump, a split ring 7 is fitted on the main shaft 6. Then, an impeller hub 5 is mounted on the main shaft 6. In this state, the impeller hub 5, main shaft 6 and split ring 7 are fastened together by mans of bolts 10. Thereafer, the impeller hub 5 and the impeller cap 4 are fastened together by means of bolts 11. Since, by employing such an arrangement, the impeller cap 4 can be fixed to the main shaft 6 with no use of a key, it is enabled to enhance reliability of the pump. |
