The aerial has its lower end held in an end piece (5) which is attached to the base by a pivot. The pivot is arranged to provide a degree of friction between the aerial and the base. The spindle about which the aerial pivots is rigidly held in two parts of a fork, standing up from the base. A spring plate, bent into a u-shape, surrounds the spindle, and has its two free ends received in a recess formed inside the aerial end piece. One end fits over a sleeve projecting inside the recess, and the second end of the spring is held by a screw threaded into this sleeve. By tightening this screw, the grip of the spring on the spindle may be adjusted.
|
