A tool-change device consists of a horizontal boring mill with an automatically closing quick-change chuck (11). A perpendicular tool-holding strip (5) with several locating openings (7), arranged at a distance one above the other, for quick-change tool inserts held by retaining springs (18) can be moved transversely to the axis of the boring spindle by means of a transverse guide (23) and a pressure-medium cylinder (24) provided in it. The transverse guide (23) can in turn be moved parallel to the axis of the boring spindle by means of a longitudinal guide in which a pressure-medium cylinder is located. A control fork interacts with the closing sleeve of the quick-change chuck (11). The control fork can be actuated in the opening direction by an unlocking cylinder. The control fork for the opening of the quick-change chuck (11) and the hydraulic control for the longitudinal guide and the transverse guide (23) for the tool-holding strip (5) interact in such a way that a tool or a quick-change chuck insert holding this tool can be automatically changed. <IMAGE> |
