<p>An improved heat exchange apparatus useful for cooling hot oil generated through the operation of industrial machinery. The improved apparatus has a support member, at least one heat exchange tube secured at each end to the support member, and an elongated heat exchange tube retainer. The central portion of the heat exchange tube has at least one heat exchange fin extending outwardly from the periphery of the tube. The heat exchange tube retainer is mounted on a heat exchange tube end portion to hold the heat exchange tube firmly in place within the support member and preferably, although not necessarily, has at least one protruding portion that deflects air towards the heat exchange fin extending from the heat exchange tube retainer to enhance the heat exchange effectiveness of the apparatus.</p> |
