DRIVING METHOD OF PLANAR SCREEN INDICATOR

PURPOSE:To obtain a clear picture image having no color shifting by performing the positioning between the electrode structure and the light emission means while employing the deflection electrode splitted into the plural pairs as the deflection means and applying the different deflection voltage on each pair. CONSTITUTION:The deflection means is splitted electrically into three pairs of deflection electrodes where one electrodes B1-B3 in each electrode pair, for example, are connected in series through the resistors R1-R3 then the variable voltage is applied across them. Under this state the deflecting pulse signal is applied on the signal applying points 51, 52 and the signal voltage to be applied on the B1-B3 electrodes from the variable power source 53 is added with the voltage divided by the resistors R1-R3 where the voltage to be applied on the deflection electrode pair constituted of A1B1-A3B3 will differ step by step thus to shift the deflection distance of the electron beam each other. The shifting of the pitch against the phosphor substance is corrected by said slight shifting thereby the positional shifting can be corrected accurately resulting in the clear picture image.
