PURPOSE:To simplify the mechanisms of suction and exhaust devices and contrive compact shaping and high output yield in such a way that suction and exgaust ports in an internal combustion engine are opened and closed by turning a disc which has an arciform long hole at one part. CONSTITUTION:When a disc 1 of a rotary disc type suction and exhaust port closing device is turned clockwise, and a port 4 comes to a suction port 8, a piston 13 is at the top dead point. When the port 8 is opened by the port 4, and an exhaust port 9 which has been opened is closed practically at the same time by the disc 1, the piston 13 comes into its suction stroke. When the piston 13 arrives at the bottom dead point, the port 8 is closed by the disc 1, the piston 13 comes into its compression stroke, the disc 1 is turned by one fourth, and when the piston arrives at the top dead point, it comes into its explosion stroke. The disc 1 is turned by one fourth before the piston 13 arrives at the bottom dead point, the port 4 comes to the port 9, and at the same time as the piston 13 almost arrives arrives at the bottom dead point, the port 9 is opened by the port 4, which results in exhaust stroke, and these strokes cyclically repeat likewise hereafter. |
