PURPOSE:To reduce power for driving the heading pump for a power steering by constituting said pump to reduce the discharge amount when power assist is not needed in straight travelling or the like. CONSTITUTION:Oil pressurized by vanes 3 is supplied to a power steering through a discharge chamber 12, a discharge path 13, an orifice portion 8, a discharge path 14 and a discharge port 16. The discharge pressure of the oil tends to be reduced when power assist is not needed in straight travelling or the like. However, in such reduction of the discharge pressure, the opening of the orifice portion 8 is controlled to be reduced through a throttle valve 16 so that the discharge amount of the oil is reduced. |
