<p>The tubular fabric is passed from the neeles through studded take-up rollers to a bale spindle on a support bracket which is mounted on a support ring which rotates at the same speed as the needle cylinder. When the bale is full, a contact switch operates a cutting blade to server the fabric, the bale is dropped through the support ring for removal, and a fresh bale spindle passed in from a magazine. The purpose is to prevent the weight of the fabric from damaging the needles or machinery parts, and to eliminate the need to stop the circular knitter on bale changes.</p> |
