PURPOSE:To provide a titled welder which improves working performance by taking up a wire rope connected to a pull rod on a cam-like take-up frame fixed to a gear which is rotated by treading force and changing the stroke and pressurizing force of a movable electrode. CONSTITUTION:When the operator presses a pedal 8 with his foot, a slide bar 9 slides on a base 7 and a rack 10 moves together with a slide bar 9 in an arrow A direction, thereby rotating a gear 12 fixed with a cam-like winding frame 13. While the frame 13 rotates together with the gear 12, it takes up a wire rope 6 connecting to a pull rod 4 and a movable upper electrode 2 is pulled down by a pressurizing rod 5 of a pressurizing head 1 for welding, whereby objects to be welded are pressed to a stationary lower electrode 3 and resistance welding is executed. While the electrode 2 moves freely, the rope 6 is taken up on a large diameter part 13a of the cam, and the electrode 2 moves at a large stroke. When the electrode approaches to the objects to be welded, the wire rope is taken up on the small diameter part 13b, by which the stroke is decreased and the pressurizing force upon the electrode is increased. |
