PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material excellent in runnability, appearance and stickiness, by providing a antistatic layer based on a light transmitting conductive material, which is formed by coating the surface of mica with a conductive substance having a specific thickness, to the surface coated with a thermal layer or surface not coated with said layer of a support. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material constituted by providing to a support a thermal color forming layer containing a color forming substance and a coupling substance allowing the color forming substance to form a color through reaction at the time of heating, an antistatic layer based on a light transmitting conductive material formed by coating the surface of mica with a conductive substance in a thickness of 70-1,200Angstrom is provided to the surface coated with a thermal layer or surface not coated with said layer of the support. As the conductive substance, either one of tin oxide doped with 0.1-30wt% of antimony, tin oxide doped with 0.1-15wt% of antimony and 0.01-5wt% of tellurium and indium oxide doped with 0.1-20wt% of tin is used and forms the antistatic layer along with a binder and other component. |
