PURPOSE:To heighten the frequency of replacement of hot water and consequently improve the heat collecting efficiency by a method wherein a reference water heater, which provides for the upper limit temperature of water to be set by the insolation, is arranged near a solar heat collector and the hot water within the solar heat collector is made to overflow whenever the hot water temperature in the solar heat collector reaches that of the reference water heater. CONSTITUTION:In order to put the device in use, at first, city water from a water service pipe 1 is fed throgh a water tank A and a water tank pipe 3 to the solar heat collector B and as well as through a communicating pipe 17 to the reference water heater C so as to fill the collector B and the heater C. The reference water heater C is a solar heat collector, the insolation receiver part of which is made of a transparent plate 14 and the ratio of the surface area of water within to the surface area of the transparent plate 14 of which is designed to be larger than that of the collector B. Owing to the structure just mentioned above, the water temperature rise in the reference water heater C precedes that in the collector B. When the water temperature in the collector B reaches to that in the reference water heater C, a temperature controller D, which receives the outputs of respective temperature sensors 18 and 20, opens a control valve 23 in order to escape the hot water in the collector B into a storage tank E. At said escape of the hot water, a closing valve 9 is attracted by means of a syphon pipe 7, resulting in closing a gate valve 6 through a connecting rod 11. |
