<p>PURPOSE:To utilize efficiently areas of line buffer constituting a storage part by discarding pieces of key-in information required from storage part in response to a succeeding key input of an electronic typewriter, etc., while leaving free area required in the storage part. CONSTITUTION:In the starting address LH, end address LE, and input final pointer address PT of a line buffer LN, the amount of free areas of the line buffer is obtained by subtracting the address PT from the address LE, and this amount of free areas is compared with a prescribed threshold value whereby a necessary messenger can be keyed in to make a decision. When it is found basing on the comparison decision result, that front areas in the line buffer should be discarded, the amount of areas to be discarded is calculated so to leave an enough area between the position of a character (a), and addresses PT-LE indicated by a longitudinal line part 14c, and an effective character U is moved to the starting address LH upon rearranging.</p> |
