PURPOSE:To perform the sweeping work of the shell plating below the draft line by providing a rotatable sweeping brush to a hull surface sweeper adjusting the buoyancy with a ballast tank and abosrbed to the hull surface by the suction and discharge of the sea water so that the sweper is absorbed and moved along the shell plating. CONSTITUTION:A sweeping brush 8 free of rotating by a motor 14 is provided to a truck 1 arranged with a driving wheel 6, trailing wheel 7, and suction duct 5 enclosing a ballast tank 3 capable of controlling the buoyancy by feeding or discharging water and a propeller 4 sticking to the hull surface by the suction and discharge of the sea water. The truck 1 is hung with a wire W from a hull upper deck and is flooded in the ballast tank 3, the buoyancy is adjusted and the propeller 4 is driven, the sea water is sucked and discharged to stick the truck 1 to the shell plating, the driving wheel 6 is driven to move the truck 1, and the sweeping brush 8 is rotated, thereby objects such as oysters and acorn shell attached tothe shell plating can be swept automatically and efficiently. |
