The spirit level has its one end part resting in a first seat, whilst its other end rests in a second seat. At least one of the seats is attached to a rotatable rotation-symmetrical body to which it is eccentrically related. Thus, a rotary movement of the body imparts an adjustment to the end part of the spirit level. - Also, at least one seat is of elastic material so that the long tube is clamped in its position by the pressure force emanating from the opposing seats.
