PURPOSE:To manufacture a high-strength steel plate without requiring considerable heating energy by casting a steel contg. specified amounts of C, Si, Mn, acid sol. Al and Ti, starting the hot rolling of the cast steel at a specified temp. or above, and finishing the rolling within a specified time after releasing from the continuously casting mold. CONSTITUTION:A steel consisting of, by weight, <=0.2% C, <=1.3% Si, 0.5-1.6% Mn, 0.015-0.1% acid sol. Al, 0.01-0.2% Ti and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities is continuously cast. The hot rolling of the cast steel is started at >=1,100 deg.C, and the rolling is finished within 30-90min after releasing from the continuously casting mold. Thus, energy consumption is reduced, and a high- strength hot-rolled steel plate contg. added Ti and having sufficient strength is obtd. while using such small amounts of the added alloying elements. |
