PURPOSE:To increase a vibration-suppressing force and a centripetal force for a rotary body, by causing magnetic flux to pass through all the hanging portions of the non-magnetic electroconductive member of a magnetic bearing and distributing much magnetic flux in the inner and outer corners of rotary teeth. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic bearing includes a rotary body which has an inner and an outer rotor teeth 2a, 2b integrated with a rotor yoke 2 secured on a roray shaft 1. The rotor teeth 2a, 2b are placed between the hanging portions 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d of a non-magnetic electroconductive member 3. The magnetic bearing also includes stator yokes 5a, 5b integrally coupled to each other by a permanent magnet 4. The inner and outer stator teeth 6a'', 6b'' of the yokes 5a, 5b correspond to the rotor teeth 2a, 2b. The stator teeth 6a'', 6b'' are proviced with groove widths W1, W2 larger than the thicknesses t1, t2 of the rotor teeth 2a, 2b, so that the stator teeth are provided with auxiliary teeth 9a, 9a', 9b, 9b'. |
