PURPOSE:To produce an initially chargable paste type nickel-cadmium storage battery by reacting CdO powder with the water then assembling a yet-formed plate applied with a paste mixed with an organic solvent containing the binder and dried. CONSTITUTION:The powder mainly composed of CdO containing CdO or metallic Cd is reacted with 2-7ml of water for 100g of CdO. The powder containing Cd(OH)2 thus produced is mixed with an organic solvent such as the ethylene glycol containing the binder such as PVA to produce the paste. Then said paste is applied on a porous plate and dried to produce the negative plate which is not applied with the formation but combined with the positive plate and assembled in the battery to produce a paste type Ni.Cd storage battery. |
