An apparatus for separating air and liquid has a first vessel (2) which is provided with an inlet line (1) for liquid mixed with air, an outlet (3) for liquid freed from air and an outlet (11) for air separated from liquid, an additional vessel (5), acting as a moisture trap, which is furnished at the top with an air intake opening (6), which is connected via a channel (14) to the air outlet (11) and an outlet (7), likewise arranged at the top, which is connected to a source of underpressure. The novelty lies in the fact that a cover (9) arranged on the first vessel (2), in which cover the air outlet (11) is provided, is furnished with an extension (10) which forms a cover for the additional vessel (5), that an orifice (6) is arranged in this extension (10) in a line with this vessel, which orifice forms the air intake orifice, and that the channel between the air outlet (11) on the first vessel (2) and the air inlet into the additional vessel (5) is surrounded in a sealing manner by a cap (14) open at the bottom. <IMAGE> |
