Device for producing a collar on pipes internally coated with plastics

The invention may be used both by a manufacturer of pipes internally coated with plastics and by the user and under construction-site conditions. The aim is to increase the lifetime of pipes internally coated with plastics. The object of the invention is to make available a corresponding device which can be used for pipes internally coated with plastic having clear diameters less than 35 mm and/or layer thicknesses less than 1 mm. A cylindrical contraction element having a somewhat larger diameter than the internal diameter of the pipe internally coated with plastic and having a non-continuous axial bore hole is rigidly connected to a moulding head. A force transmission element is guided so as to be axially movable in the bore hole and in an associated bore hole in the moulding head. The contraction element is axially extended by means of the force transmission element with a reduction in its diameter; the device is attached to the pipe end and relaxed again. Coating material is pressed into the mould of the moulding head with defined heating of the pipe end. The device is removed again after cooling.
