PURPOSE:To obtain the simplified production of chromium intermediate oxide with a large specific surface area by dissolving CrO3 in a solvent, then heat- treating it at a specific temperature. CONSTITUTION:In the production of chromium intermediate oxide CrOx (2.5 <=x <= 2.67), which is an electrode active material, from CrO3, CrO3 is dissolved in a solvent then is heat-treated at 200-350 deg.C. Teflon binder is used as a binding agent, acetylene black is used as a conducting agent, and a solvent mixed with propylene carbonate 1 dissolved with 1 mol LiClO4 and 2-dimethoxyethane at 1:1 (wt) is used as an electrolyte. Thereby, no heat treatment under pressure using oxygen is required, in addition, the original material is first dissolved then dried and heat-treated, thus the drying and heat treatment can be performed in the same container, and the process can be simplified. |
