IMPROVED PROCESS FOR GROWING CRYSTAL OF KTIOPO4 AND ANALOGUES THEREOF

Stable glass whose composition is defined by the quadrilaterals I II III IV of the accompanying ternary diagrams of Figures 1 and 2 for the system selected from the group consisting of K2O/P2O5/(TiO2)2, Rb2O/P2O5/(TiO2)2, K2O/As2O5/(TiO2)2 and Rb2O/As2O5/(TiO2)2; and the use of such glass in hydrothermal processes for producing crystals of KTiOPO4 and certain crystal analogues thereof, namely, RbTiOPO4, KTiOAsO4 and RbTiOAsO4.
