The hydraulic shedding device for controlling the heald frame of a dobby loom has at least two interacting cylinder units (2, 3) for each heald frame for the respective raising and lowering of the latter. The cylinder units (2, 3) are mounted on fixed parts of the loom and are connected to the associated heald frame via a step-up transmission (7). Each cylinder unit (2, 3) has partly a main piston (30), connected to the step-up transmission (7) via a piston rod (8), and a centring piston (26) which, in the closed-shed mode (S), is subjected to pressure and which can be guided for take-up engagement with the main piston (30), in order to centre the latter axially and thereby define the closed-shed position of the heald frame (1). A readjusting member (27) provided on the cylinder units (2, 3) makes it possible to readjust the stroke length of the two units and thereby the size of the upper and lower shed (O and U). <IMAGE>
