PURPOSE:To reduce the rush current of an AC motor by flowing a current from an AC power source to the motor as it is when the output of a control pulse signal generator is High and supplying the current controlled in phase when the output is Low. CONSTITUTION:A signal which limits the conducting angle of a current supplied to a motor 4 is formed by a phase control signal generator 1, thereby triggering the gate of a Triac Q03 of a drive unit 3. A control pulse of a desired duty ratio is, on the other hand, generated by varying the time constant at the charging and discharging times of RC by a control pulse signal generator 2, and is supplied to the unit 3. When the output of the generator 2 is Low, a phase control signal from the generator 1 is transmitted to the unit 3, and when the output is High, a current from an AC power source AC is supplied to the motor 4 as it is. Accordingly, the rush current is reduced, thereby controlling the speed smoothly without vibration. |
