The emergency opening device for an automatic sliding door (10) has a spring (18) which is arranged parallel to the direction of displacement and which is provided at both ends with a magnetic fitting (30; 26). Arranged opposite the magnetic fittings are fixed electromagnets (32; 22), of which the electromagnet (32) assigned to the opened position of the sliding door (10) has an energising circuit (34), in which an energy store (36) for delaying the drop in the event of a power failure. Thus, when the power fails, the spring (18) is retained on the delayed electromagnet (32) until the said spring (18) draws the door (10) back into the opened position. This end of the spring (18) is then also released, so that the sliding door (10) becomes freely movable. <IMAGE> |
