PURPOSE:To increase the operational dynamic range of a photoelectric converter by forming the second diffused layer shielded on the surface on the outer periphery of the first diffused layer forming a photodetecting part. CONSTITUTION:The second diffused layers 6-8 shielded on the surface are formed on the outer periphery of the first diffused layer 2 forming a photodetecting part, and even if the first layer 2 is saturated against the large intensity incident light, excessive minority carrier is collected to the second layers 6-8, thereby enabling to read the potential. Therefore, wires 4, 12 which apply a voltage to the first and second layers 2, 6-8 to read out the potential are provided. |
