<p>The automatic feed maintains a bed (4) of abrasive for a friction finishing plant, using an outlet (3a) controlled by a flap (3b) to feed a fraction to a screen (5a) feeding waste (6) or return (7) conveyors. It uses level-sensors (13-15) to control the input of fresh abrasive (11). The feed operates continuously whilst the plant functions, damaged or worn abrasive passing through the screen onto the waste conveyors, and the return conveyor may take the form of a vibrating spiral channel elevator. The sensor may react to the level (h) of elements in a tank (3) to activate a vibrating distributor (9) controlling the flow of new abrasive from a storage receptacle, (8).</p> |
