The vacuum actuator has a piston and actuating rod with a two piece (1,2) housing. There is a housing (3) for the actuating rod (4) and another (5) for the piston (6). One assembly piece (1) has a pin (8) working in a transverse hole (7) in the actuating rod. When the assembly goes together, this pin engages in a recess (9) in the second part (2). The piston has an annular groove (10) in which engage ribs (11) on the two assembly parts. The assembly parts also have engaging projections and recesses.
