The invention relates to a noise-prevention wall made of individual elements which can be placed next to one another. In order to improve a noise-prevention wall with regard to its maintenance-friendliness and weather-friendliness, it is envisaged according to the invention that each individual element is a hollow cassette which is filled with damping material and the surface of which facing the noise source consists of parallel vertically aligned profiled bars placed next to one another and the rear wall of which facing away from the noise source is designed as a closed surface. The closed surface preferably consists of planks placed next to one another, which can be placed next to one another tightly and firmly by means of positive elements, e.g. groove and tongues. As material for the components of an individual element such as planks, profiled bars and frames, tropical hardwood, e.g. bongossi wood, is advantageously suitable.
