PURPOSE:To enhance the cleaning effect, by making either of a rotary material or a magnetic material of a cleaning device floatable and holding a recording material between these materials through a brush by the magnetic force between these materials. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning rotary material 1 is a nonmagnetic sleeve having a short-hair brush, and plural magnets 2 are stored stationarily in this material 1. After transfer and discharging, magnetic coloring particles on the surface of the sleeve 1 are scraped off and are transferred to a magnetic roller 7 and are scraped off by a scraper 8. The part of a supporting guide plate 6 which faces to the sleeve 1 is a shallow recess, and a plate-shaped magnetic material 10 is put in this recess merely. This magnetic material 10 may be a magnet having the polarity opposite to that of magnets in the sleeve 1, and the face of the magnetic material 10 which is brought into contact with a recording material belt 3 is provided with a short-hair brush 11 similar to that on the surface of the sleeve 1. Consequently, even if the degree of plane of the surface of the sleeve 1 is low, the recording material 3 is pressed uniformly to the surface of the sleeve 1 by the cushion effect of the short-hair brush 11. |
