The system for cultivating fodder without sun includes a framework on which four inclined planar supports are mounted one above the other. The supports have a series of channels formed in them and have a layer of electric resistance heaters at the bottom of each to maintain the germinating seeds at a given temp. level. The seeds are evenly sown by a hopper which moves along the supports. Nutrient solution is injected into the supports by a dosing pump and the roots of the plants are dipped into water held in the channels. Above the framework is mounted an opaque roof to shade the plants.
