<p>PURPOSE:To enable the direct production of oxygen gas by utilizing energy in exhaust gas, by heating steam from a steam turbine by introducing the exhaust gas from a smelting reduction furnace to a heat exchanger and connecting a deoxygenating apparatus with an air compressor driven by this steam. CONSTITUTION:After using the high temp. exhaust gas from the smelting reduction furnace 1 to pre-reduction 2, the gas is supplied to the heat exchanger 4 through a dust collector 3. The heat exchanger 4 is connected with the steam turbine 5 by piping 20 and after heating the circulated steam by the heat exchanger 4, it is supplied to the steam turbine 5, to drive the steam turbine 5 and the air compressor 7. The compressor 7 supplies the compressed air to the deoxygenating apparatus 8. The deoxygenating apparatus 8 separates the oxygen gas from the compressed air, to supply the oxygen to the smelting reduction furnace 1. In this way, the power consumption for producing oxygen gas is reduced.</p> |
