PURPOSE:To obtain a color picture with high resolution and high vividness by preparing an electrode means for crossing each electron beam flux controlled corresponding to an electrode pair and a shadow mask having numbers of through holes corresponding to phosphor substances. CONSTITUTION:A belt-shaped electron beam is taken out from one of plural linear thermal cathodes 4 which are stretched over in parallel, to be focussed and deflected for obtaining plural scanning lines. One linear thermal cathode shares 1/15 of one picture to be displayed. One set of three electron beams controlled by a switching stack composed of electrode plates 9, 11a, 11b, 11c and 13 are deflected toward the center of two electron beams of both terminals among three electron beams by electrodes 15a and 15b negatively impressed in relation to the neiboring electrodes. Three electron beams are controlled so as to concentrate on the surface of a shadow mask. |
