PURPOSE:To make it possible to stop the operation immediately by gradually closing a guide vane according to a stop instruction and disconnecting a motor generator and then maintaining the opening of the guide vane at the time of said disconnection for the duration of specified period and then applying the brake while closing the guide vane. CONSTITUTION:As illustrated by dotted lines (Solid line stands for prior art system.) the opening of a guide vane is maintained at the opening (Point A) at the time of disconnecting a motor generator. With this construction, the pressure water flowing in from the guide vane acts on the operating direction of a hydraulic turbine, and produces a large braking effect upon the hydraulic turbine, thereby reducing the rotational speed rapidly. By detecting that the rotational speed drops to a brake operatable point (point C) and operating the brake and then fully closing the guide vane, the main equipment can be brought to a halt immediately and completely. |
