<p>PURPOSE:To perform character recognition with good accuracy, corresponding to individual deformed character of each individual, by totally deciding described characters through the use of characteristics of the characters written on a slip, without discriminating only one character. CONSTITUTION:Characters written on a slip is photoelectric-converted at a photoelectric conversion circuit 1, the preprocessing such as removal of noise is made to the character pattern photoelectric-converted at a preprocessing circuit 2 and applied to a characteristic pickup circuit 3. The characteristic of the character pattern to be preprocessed is picked up with this circuit 3 and the character for one character's share picked up at a characteristic register 4 is tentatively stored. Based on the characteristics picked up at the circuit 3, the character is discriminated at a discrimination circuit 5 and each character discriminated for one page's share of the slip and the characteristic of the characters stored in the register 4 are stored in a buffer circuit 5 as a pair. From the answer and the characteristic as to each character for one page's share of the slip, the propriety as to the answer of each charcter is checked at a correction circuit 7, allowing to recognize the individual deformed character with good accuracy.</p> |
