PURPOSE:To cut efficiently through known method at the groove portion by moving a metal chip along the cutting line in the width direction while pressing a rotary round edge thus etching the groove having V-shaped cross-section. CONSTITUTION:A bridge structure 2 will move simultaneously with a common carbon steel casting chip 1. Rotary round edges 6a, 6b, 7a, 7b and rotary cutters 9a, 9b are provided through traverse trucks 5a, 5b to said bridge 2. The casting chip 1 is hot pressed from up and down by means of the round edges 6a, 6b, 7a, 7b to form a V-shaped groove 9a thus to reduce the thickness. Thereafter the coupling section 10 of the casting chip is cut by means of the rotary cutters 8a, 8b. A gas torch or a wedge chip may be used for said cutting. |
