PURPOSE:In a spiral electrode structure where the positive and the negative plate strips are wound through a separator, to reduce the defective process when constructing the cell by cutting the end corner section of a current collector exposed at the end-of-winding portion of one plane such as the positive plate located at the outermost circumferential section and providing the tapered shape. CONSTITUTION:The positive plate 3 is laminated through a separator 5 with the negative plate 4 then the entirety is wound spirally to form a spiral electrode member 9 where the positive plate 3 is located at the outermost circumferential section. The titanium net current collector 6 exposed at the end-of-winding portion of the positive plate 3 is tapered to prevent the shifting or the jutting out when inserting the electrode member 9 into the positive inner can 11. The shifting due to the stopping of the exposed current collector 6 at the open circumferential section 11' of the inner can 11 is slight, thereby it will be inserted into the inner can 11 without jutting from the inner can. |
