PURPOSE:To test the strength continuously even when the ground is complicated, by setting up a test piece for soil test at the end of a main body inserting into a boring rod formed the difference in level on the inner face through the rod provided with a strain gage. CONSTITUTION:A boring rod is inserted into the earth up to desired depth and the inside of a hole is washed. Hereater, the rod 1 is drawn up more than projected length of a cone 9 from a crown 11 and a water swivel is removed. Next, a measuring device 27 consisting of a main body 3 or a test piece 9 for soil test is inserted into a boring pipe 1 and is brought down to the tip end by a cable 10. When the device 27 is reached the lower end and the tip end of the body 3 is brought into contact with a joint 13b, engaging claws 5a, 5b are made in an opened state by the energizing force of leaf springs 22a, 22b and weight of an operation body 4. In this condition, the resistance of the soil acting on the test piece 9 is measured by strain gages 6a, 6b by descending or rotating the boring head 1 and the strength of the soil at the concerned depth is measured. |
