in partly liquid form is reacted with gaseous SO3 and subsequent hydrolysis by mineral acid yields amidosulphonic acid of 99.5%. The strongly exothermic reaction heat is removed by NH4OH as heat of evaporation, the reaction is thus easily controlled, vol.-time yield is doubled when compared to customary pure gas phase reactions which are highly exothermic and dangerous due to overheating.
