The chassis is hitched to a tractor and includes a main beam (14) to one end of which is pivoted a yoke (20). A bifurcated end section of the yoke receives a hitching eye from the tractors hitching mechanism. The other end of the beam is coupled to a U-shaped section (15) which has a pair of parallel, rearwardly extending arms (151,152). Channel-shaped clips (16) are mounted on the upper surface of each arm to receive the spindles (28) fixed to the ends of the main tool-carrying bars (2). The U-shaped section can pivot about a longitudinal horizontal axis.
