A motor vehicle injection valve is proposed, in which the valve needle (1) at its tip has a pintle (8) inserted, which is advantageously welded in there. At the same time the pintle projects as throttle element into the injection orifice (4) of the fuel injection valve and completely frees the injection orifice (4) at the latest when the valve needle reaches full lift. Annular injection cross-sections are thereby formed in the injection orifice of the fuel injection valve with a relatively wide torus, so that coke residues have only a slight effect on the injection cross-section. <IMAGE>
